This month has been busy in the lead up to Summer! With so many different things going on across the offices it’s been a particularly sporty month – a great take away from our Mental Health training in May where we learnt to look after our bodies as well as our minds.

We were privileged to be involved in a range of events this month, from sponsorships to Panel appearances this has been a very busy one for the Company!

We started off by sponsoring the Point to Point – showcasing our Agriculture and Equine offering and expertise and having the chance to meet up with clients both old and new!

At the beginning of June our Family Partners Fiona Apthorpe and Claire Dean had the opportunity to discuss the importance of mediation in reducing conflict in family cases, a very important discussion to be having.  Later this month we then joined Sharpe Pritchard for EMLawshare to discuss the Fundamentals of Local Government Law with Clare Hardy our Professional Support Lawyer.

We also had the opportunity to award some well deserving students at the Derby College Peak Awards which was fantastic to see.

To end the month our Chairman David Williams had the opportunity to be a part of the morning panel session on the new High Speed Rail Conference! A busy month all across the Country

Touch Rugby

You may have seen from our last blog post that last month saw the beginning of the Touch Rugby season – well this month the team have come a long way! Winning 8 – 4 against NPTS Pinks at the beginning of the month they then went on to play at the Charity Touch Rugby Tournament on Saturday the 23rd  in aid of the charity 2 Wish Upon a Star. The team reached the Silver Semi Final but lost by 1 point to the 2 Wish Upon a Star team. It was a fantastic event for a great charity and a great day to spend together!

Legal Walk

We had a few Legal Walks going on this month across the Company – Derby kicked off with a 10km walk to raise money for local legal services in the Midlands. We had a great team of walkers but unfortunately due to the weather it was all postponed!

London on the other hand went ahead and on the 17th of June they did their 10km walk to raise money for local legal services in the London area and we had a great team there

Ale Trail

For a few years we’ve had the Ale Trail in Cardiff however it wasn’t something that happened last year. So this year it was brought back – a fantastic opportunity for young professionals to network together and for teams to really get to know one another! The Ale trail this year was a great hit with a lot of people coming from different areas to really take time out and enjoy some Work Life Balance!

Insider Wales Property Awards

This month saw a Geldards Client winning the best Residential Development at the Insider Wales Property Awards. Always a fantastic event it’s great to see the awards being given out and won by people who are really deserving. With a lot of hard work going into the awards across the boards there were multiple companies at the event which meant a great opportunity to celebrate with colleagues from across Companies

Summer Ball

We rounded off the month with the Summer Ball in the Cardiff Office – a great evening to get together with colleagues, enjoy some lovely food and music and really relax and socialise. Another great Work Life Balance opportunity it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and an occasion to dress up is always well received!
